WHAT: Breakstone’s Greek Style Sour Cream & Nonfat Yogurt
STATS: A two-tablespoon serving contains 40 calories, no fiber and 3 fat, 1 carbohydrate and 2 protein grams. Visit kraftbrands.com/breakstones.
THE SKINNY: There is only one thing that can sour this season of dips, casseroles, cheesecakes - all the calories and fat from all that sour cream.
So we were curious to sample the container of Breakstone’s Greek Style Sour Cream & Nonfat Yogurt we were sent, as the product boasts of having half the fatof sour cream.
We decided to compare it to a regular container of Daisy Sour Cream. Immediately Breakstone’s Greek Style looked good, having 20 calories per serving. But how would it taste?
Hmmm, not bad. Definitely sour - a bit more twangy and a bit less creamy than regular sour cream - but decent. If it were swapped in rich recipes, we’d likely not detect much of a difference. But maybe our tight-fitting pants would.
