Arrests

Benton County Sheriff’s Office

Christopher Lynn Corbitt, 44, of 1157 Vansomaran in Springdale was arrested Tuesday in connection with interfering with law enforcement officer and possession of a controlled substance. Corbitt was being held Tuesday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.

Rogers

Andrew Trevor Lopez, 28, of 2711 Sayre Lane was arrested Tuesday in connection with aggravated assault upon a certified law enforcement officer or employee of a correctional facility. Lopez was being held Tuesday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.

Siloam Springs

Rodney Lester Carver, 46, was arrested Tuesday in connection with misdemeanor obstructing governmental operations and possession of drug paraphernalia. Carver was being held Tuesday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.

Springdale

Jesus Daniel Yzabal, 28, of 8780 Randall Wobbe Lane, Building 11, No. 101 was arrested Monday in connection with felony domestic aggravated assault, forgery, misdemeanor third degree domestic battery, a Springdale warrant for failure to appear and a Bethel Heights warrant. Police said Yzabal hit his wife. He was in the Washington County Detention Center on Tuesday awaiting a bond hearing.

Sonia R. McKinney, 44, of 1001 N. West End St. was arrested Monday in connection with felony embezzlement. Police said McKinney stole more than $1,000 from Harp’s, 1007 Jones Road. McKinney was released on a felony citation.

Michael Homer Campbell, 44, of 709 Hidden Springs Road in Decatur was arrested Monday on a felony warrant for parole violation and a misdemeanor Springdale warrant for failure to appear. Campbell was in the Washington County Detention Center on Tuesday on the parole violation.

Fire

Rogers

An employee said he smelled burning and saw light smoke coming from a heating vent at a business complex at 2003 S. Horsebarn Road. The building was evacuated about 8:42 a.m. Monday. No fire was found. Firefighters checked both HVAC units to make sure they were off and told employee to contact a service company.

A homeowner had water leaking from inside her window and ice buildup inside her roof about 12:40 p.m. Monday at 1126 S. 13th St. Firefighters removed roof vents and ice to aid in draining.

City Hall employees at 301 W. Chestnut St. saw smoke coming from a generator about 1:10 p.m. Monday. Firefighters shut off the generator and discovered a large oil leak. No fire was found.

Accident

Rogers

One person was injured when a Toyota Avalon and Hyundai Accent collided about 10 a.m. Wednesday at 1806 S. Eighth St.

Rogers

An assault was reported about 10 a.m. Tuesday after a man harassed Rogers Public Library employees at 711 S. Dixieland Road. The man, who police said is emotionally disturbed, later pulled a knife on an officer, hid inside a house and, eventually, was arrested.
