Audubon Society To Meet
The annual meeting of the Northwest Arkansas Audubon Society is at 6 p.m.
on Saturday at Nightbird Books, 205 W. Dickson St., in Fayetteville.
Officers will be elected. Auriel Fournier, a graduate student at the University of Arkansas, will present the program, “Rails: A Family of Nemisis Birds.”

Polar Bear Bass Tournament Set
The annual New Year’s Day Polar Bear bass tournamentwill be from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Jan. 1 at Beaver Lake out of Prairie Creek park.
Entry fee is $60 per boat and includes big bass.
Guaranteed first prize is $1,200.
Entries received by 1 p.m. on Dec. 31 will be entered into a $200 early-entry prize drawing.
Anglers may enter at Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers, Southtown Sporting Goods in Fayetteville, Mobile Marine in Springdale or Jeff Cook insurance in Lowell.
Entries are also accepted at Prairie Creek on tournament morning.
