John Brown University says it plans to play scheduled basketball games Thursday night against Wayland Baptist.

JBU athletics director Robyn Daugherty said Sooner Athletic Conference administrators believe game officials will make it to Siloam Springs ahead of expected winter weather Thursday. If officials can't make it Thursday or power is out on campus, the game will be played Friday, Daugherty said.

Wayland Baptist players will arrive Wednesday.

The Golden Eagles are scheduled to play a doubleheader Thursday at Bill George Arena, beginning with a women's game at 6 p.m. JBU's women are 7-1 overall this season, while the men are 10-0 overall and ranked No. 14 in NAIA.

Both JBU teams won conference openers Tuesday night against St. Gregory's.
