In Tokyo, vice president assures Japan of U.S. alliance

U.S. Vice President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe hold a joint news conference after their meeting at Abe’s official residence Tuesday in Tokyo.

Vice President Joseph Biden expressed U.S. opposition to China’s declaration of a new air-defense zone and sought to assure Japan of American support.
