Law Agencies’ Priorities Misplaced

Does anyone else wonder about priorities when it comes to law enforcement? In a Nov. 26 editorial, State Police Col. Stan Witt is quoted as saying “we’ll be out in force, and showing zero tolerance for anyone who is not wearing a seat belt.”

I would prefer the police would show less tolerance for some other things that seem to be ignored, such as idiots who recklessly tailgate and switch lanes to gain a few seconds, and folks who drive without lights until well after sundown.

But our police do not have time to pay attention to such things. They are too busy “saving lives” by ticketing people who forget to fasten their seat belts. Such is the state of political correctness in which we now find ourselves.

WRITERS MAKE JESUS WEEP

Dale Lange (Public Viewpoint, Nov. 26) and his band of Holier-Than-Thou Christians must think Jesus loves tattletales.

They get so “right”- eously indignant when Lowell Grisham acts like a Christian and accepts people as they are and not as the Holier-Than-Thous think they should be.

Also, it seems that Mr. Lange and Mr. (Hiram) Cooper of Bella Vista are competing for the title of “I can bloviate more verbosely about the mote in Rev. Grisham’s eye than you!”

Hey, guys. Stop using your Bibles as WMD’s. It makes Jesus weep.
