The shofar calls Jews to remember and repent

The wailing blast of the shofar, or ram’s horn, is a central part of the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashana. Traditionally sounded 100 hundred times on both days of the holiday, the shofar’s trumpet-like sound serves as a spiritual wake-up call.
