100 YEARS AGO Aug. 30, 1913 PINE BLUFF — Chagrin doesn’t near express the feelings of Angus McNeil of Redfield, deputy sheriff of Jefferson county, from whose Custody L.S. Long, a Pine Bluff attorney, indicted for embezzlement, escaped yesterday morning while the officer dozed in a chair next [to] his prisoner as the train returning them to Pine Bluff passed through Stuttgart.
