Officials Find Unequal Treatment In Supervisor’s Firing

A panel of five justices of the peace decided Thursday an employee fired after being arrested on theft charges was treated unfairly.

Road Department Arrests
Three employees have been arrested recently in connection with thefts at the Road Department.
• Scott Stober, 46, public services administrator; arrested July 30 in connection with one count of theft of property
• Jackie Dale Brown, 50, a road superintendent; arrested Aug. 10 in connection with theft of property, accomplice to theft of property,theft of services and obstructing governmental operations.
• Grant McCracken, 42, a road superintendent; arrested Aug. 10 in connection with being an accomplice to theft of property.
