— Deputies recovered the body of a Morrow man who was reported missing Tuesday morning by his family.

Sgt. Dallas McClellan of the Washington County Sheriff's Office  said investigators found Edward Perry, 49, in some bushes Tuesday afternoon on Hale Mountain Road.

“A passerby noticed his scooter off in a ditch,” McClellan said. “He had an accident and was killed.”

McClellan said no foul play is suspected. The body was sent to the State Crime Lab for confirmation of identity and cause of death.

McClellan said Perry was last seen about 10 p.m. Sunday leaving a friend’s house in Farmington.

He said Perry suffered from medical issues.

“It looks like he just had an accident on the way home,” McClellan said. “He hit a culvert and ran into some weeds. It happened on the same street he lives on.”
