Rogers Aldermen Approve Liquor By The Drink

City restaurants in 30 days can begin buying liquor wholesale, have it delivered and not have to maintain a private club license. But it’s going to cost the city about $550,000 a year in lost tax revenue.

Rogers’ City Council met Tuesday and:
Converted a police communication coordinator to a telecommunications supervisor and transfer an unfilled emergency manager’s position from the Fire Department to the Police Department.
Amended Police Department policy to clear up some wording regarding officers working off-duty security.
Approved buying a $25,000 police vehicle from Landers Corp. of Little Rock and a $28,000 police vehicle from Springdale Chrysler Dodge.
