By The Numbers
Central Park Elementary School At Morning Star
Enrollment: 821 (kindergarten through grade four)
Staff members: 75
Opened: August 2005
How it was named: The School Board originally decided to name it Morning Star Elementary in honor of a former school that had operated in the early 20th century in southwest Bentonville. LandQuest Communities, a developer that had donated land for the school, insisted on naming it “Central Park” after the subdivision it was building nearby. The School District agreed to call it Central Park Elementary School at Morning Star.
