Bentonville Workers Recognized For Heroism

The City Council meeting got off to an unusual start Tuesday as Mayor Bob McCaslin presented two Street Department workers and a Water Department employee with certificates of heroism.

Bentonville's City Council met Tuesday and approved:
Exempting property owners from making or paying a fee in lieu of required street improvement on South Main Street and Southwest A Street between Central Avenue and Southwest 14th Street.
Personnel changes in the Fire Department to create three deputy fire chief positions instead of filling the vacant assistant chief position.
A $13,682 budget adjustment to replace fitness equipment in the Police Department gym.
An agreement with Challenger Sports for operation of a youth soccer camp.
