A proud day, indeed

On August 1, I had the honor to join 40 other leaders from across the country in a civil disobedience action in Washington, D.C., that resulted in our arrest. With hundreds of supporters chanting on the sidewalk, we sat down on the crosswalk, linked arms and blocked traffic on Independence Avenue. We were protesting the failure of the House of Representatives to pass an immigration reform bill with a path to citizenship for 11 million new Americans.
