Transit Board Approves Settlement For Discrimination Claim

The Ozark Regional Transit board voted Thursday to settle a $15,000 discrimination claim filed by a former employee.

Discrimination claims are filed by an employee against an employer or former employer through the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The first step is for the two parties to go to mediation and try to come to a settlement. If a settlement can’t be reached, the two parties go to court.
