Where I live: My husband, two daughters and I live off Hinson Road in west Little Rock.

Occupation: I am the assistant director for public relations for the Central Arkansas Library System. It’s a very fun and fast-paced job where I work on everything from used book sales to large special events or festivals serving thousands of people. There are now 14 libraries in the system, and we have between 200-500 events each year.

My favorite space is: My kitchen.

Why? The room is designed with two large windows that open to the raised deck and backyard, and it feels like I’m in a treehouse. I love to cook, and many times my family gets involved in the process. Sometimes they sit at the table doing their own projects while I’m cooking. If I’m able to read at the kitchen table while something’s cooking, it’s a bonus. There’s plenty of space for cooking sessions where a group of us cook together for some type of party.

If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Remove the wallpaper and change the floor covering. When we moved into the house, everything was either blue or white, and it’s taking me a while to get everything redone.
