ROGERS — Rogers police are looking for a man who robbed a gasoline station/convenience store at knifepoint early Tuesday morning, injuring the clerk on duty.

A clerk at Conoco, 4601 W. Walnut St., was cut on his arms and hands during the incident, said Capt. Hayes Minor, head of the Police Department’s criminal investigation and uniform operations.

Police are looking for a thin, white man who is about 6 feet tall, Minor said.

The man walked into the convenience store and took money from the cash register, according to a news release. The clerk confronted him as he was leaving, Minor said. The clerk was injured in the confrontation, suffering four minor knife wounds, according to the news release. Police were called at 3:38 a.m.

The man was wearing black pants, black shoes, a blue button down long-sleeve shirt and a black mask. Surveillance cameras caught an image of the man at the cash register as he lifted his mask to go through the cash drawer.

He left through the west door and police dogs attempted to track the man, according to the news release.

Police declined to release the amount the man took from the cash register.

The investigation is continuing.
