Film focuses on Arkansas photographer

The Fayetteville Public Library will host a free screening of the documentary Disfarmer: A Portrait of America at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The film focuses on eccentric Heber Springs photographer Mike Disfarmer and his portraits representing life in rural America during World War I, the Great Depression and World War II. A selection of Disfarmer’s black-and-white photos will be on display in the library’s Reading Room throughout the month of May.
