Bentonville seniors Conor Baird and Cody Eckes will join the Hendrix College men’s lacrosse team next fall.
The Division III Warriors compete in the Southern Athletic Association and posted a 5-10 record this spring, falling in the SAA Tournament quarterfinals in Birmingham, Ala.
Baird and Eckes have been members of the NWA Lacrosse program since it was started in 2007. The are both team captains for the NWA Bulls lacrosse team, which competes in the Heartland Conference. Baird leads the defense, which has allowed the fewest goals per game in conference play. Eckes leads the team in total points. Together they have helped the team to an 8-0 record.
