Pine Bluff man killed in Friday shooting

Pine Bluff police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead Friday, a spokesman said Saturday.

At about 11 p.m., police were called to 4410 W. Hepburn St. after shots were fired in the area, policespokesman Regina Vontungeln said. When police got there, they found a man, already dead, lying on the home’s living room floor, she said.

Police did not immediately release the man’s name, and investigators have not identified any possible gunmen, she said.

At about the same time, two people with gunshot wounds showed up at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Vontungeln said, and police are investigating whether the hospital walkins are related to the shooting death.
