Dickson St., hosts “Red, White and Bells - Let Freedom Ring!” hand bell concert at 4 p.m.

today. The concert culminates the 10th annual Northwest Arkansas Handbell Festival.

Nineteen handbell choirs from three states participate, and the festival clinician is Sondra Tucker, a director and composer. The concertfeatures pieces by the Extreme Ring choirs and a brass ensemble and solo performances by the Ozark Bronze Handbell Ensemble.

Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Springdale 3074 S. 40th St., presents the Bontrager Family Singers in concert at 6 p.m. Sunday. The eastern Iowa family includes Becky and Marlin Bontrager and their 10 children. They sing gospel-bluegrass style and play a variety of instruments, including the banjo, violins, keyboard, mandolin, guitars, dobro and bass guitar.

Churches Outside Together joins local congregations in fellowship from 5 to 9 p.m. May 29 at the Gulley Park gazebo in Fayetteville.

Entertainment includes a wide variety of ensembles and solo acts. Barbecue and beverages are available. Parking is free.

The event is sponsored by the Washington-Madison County chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Participating congregations include Good Shepherd Lutheran, First United Presbyterian, St. Paul’s Episcopal, Temple Shalom, Unity Church, Grace Church and Vintage Fellowship, all in Fayetteville.
