Slow Art Day is an event hosted by museums around the world that encourages patrons to slow down, take their time and savor works of art.

Guests can take part in a discussion of Joseph Stella’s Red Flower or Tom Uttech’s Enassamishhinjijweia; enjoy Mary Cassatt’s Summertime along with live, classical music; listen to readings from American Transcendentalists while viewing Asher Brown Durand’s Kindred Spirits; or sketch artworks in the gallery.

There will also be a Slow Art Day conversation and slow food demonstration at the museum’s restaurant, Eleven. The event is free; no registration is required.
