County Splits Meeting Agenda

BENTONVILLE — Benton County officials have split the agenda for the Tuesday meeting of the Quorum Court’s Public Safety Committee, setting a second session for May 2 to give adequate time to discuss the topics before the panel.

The committee had been set to discuss both the ongoing issue of providing ambulance service to rural areas and a proposal for a new courts building in a single meeting. After some consideration, County Judge Bob Clinard suggested the topics should be discussed separately, and a second meeting was scheduled.

The Public Safety Committee will consider the courthouse proposal when it meets at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Quorum Courtroom in the County Administration Building. The justices of the peace will discuss the rural ambulance service when the committee meets at 5:30 p.m. May 2 in the same location.
