GIRLS ROGERS HERITAGE 3, HARRISON 0

Senior Ellen Lundy broke her own single-season school scoring record with two goals to help the Lady War Eagles post a nonconference win Monday night at Gates Stadium. Lundy scored off a feed from freshman Bailee Russell in the first half to put Heritage (11-4-2) up 2-0 for her 19th goal of the season to tie her single-season mark from a year ago. The 6-foot forward added the record-breaking goal 10 minutes into the second half on a pass from Hope Burrell. Russell also added a goal off a corner kick in the first half. Goalkeeper Stacey Schimmel had seven saves for the Lady War Eagles, who travel to Siloam Springs for a key 7A/6A-West match on Thursday.

BOYS DANVILLE 5, DECATUR 1

Alex Cordova scored the lone goal for Decatur as the Bulldogs fell to Danville. Decatur will look to regroup Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Green Forrest.

PREP SOFTBALL

SPRINGDALE HIGH 6, GREENLAND 0

Caitlynn Bradley went 2-for-3 as Springdale scored all six of its runs after the third inning to earn the shutout win over Greenland. The Lady Bulldogs (3-17, 0-9 7A/6A-West Conference) broke a scoreless game with three runs in the bottom of the fourth, and they gave themselves some breathing room by adding another run in the fifth and two more in the sixth. Greenland had several scoring opportunities, including getting a runner on third in the top of the fifth, but Springdale got out of the jam and cruised to the victory.

LINCOLN 14 GENTRY 10

Kayleen Rush went the distance, allowing seven hits to lead Lincoln over Gentry in 4A-1 Conference action. Rush (5-9) walked four, and fanned six. Ashtin Calico went 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs to lead Lincoln offensively. Cythia Ortiz and Jaycie Neeley also collected three hits and two RBI’s in the game for Lincoln.

The Lady Wolves (5-9) return to action Thursday in the 4A-1 District Tournament at 4 p.m. in Ozark.

PREP BASEBALL

FARMINGTON 4, CEDARVILLE 1

Keaton Austin tossed four shutout innings to lead the Cardinals over Cedarville in a nonconference contest.

Austin (7-0) allowed two hits, walked one, and struck out three. Spencer Boudrey and John Larabee each collected a hit and an RBI in the game for No. 1 Farmington (17-2).

The Cardinals will play in the 4A-1 District Tournament at Ozark Saturday at noon. They have already secured a berth in the 4A-North Regional Tournament the following week at home.

GREEN FORREST 6, ELKINS 5

Cody Downum went 2-for-3 to lead Elkins in its loss to Green Forrest in 3A-1 Conference action.

Heath Flamons went 1-for-3 with a two-RBI single to aid the Elks (3-7, 3-4).

Curtis Williams (1-1) suffered the loss allowing four runs on four hits in two innings.

Elkins (3-7, 3-4) will look to bounce back against Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

ALMA 15, SILOAM SPRINGS 1

Siloam Springs rallied from a 4-0 hole on March 7 to defeat Alma 7-6 and notch its first victory of the season.

Ever since then though, the Panthers and Airedales have been going in opposite directions since Alma handed the Panthers their 12th straight loss.

The Airedales (10-11) led 8-1 going into the seventh inning before scoring seven more runs in the final frame.

The Panthers (2-18) totaled just two hits. David Goodman had a base hit in the second, while Austin Simmons had a single in the fifth.
