FAYETTEVILLE — Police arrested a University of Arkansas student Monday after finding a variety of prescription “uppers, downers,” other illegal drugs and thousands in cash at his apartment north of the campus.

Miles Taylor, 21, of 1343 N. Leverett Ave. faces felony charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver ecstasy, cocaine, hashish, Adderall, generic Xanax and psilocybin, according to an arrest report. He also faces a charge of obstruction, according to the report.

Police are looking for his roommate, Edgar Guillen, said Sgt. Craig Stout, spokesman.

Officers were investigating a domestic assault when they knocked on Taylor’s door Sunday night, according to the report. Officers saw through a window people putting what appeared to be contraband into a safe, according to a report.

Officers called the 4th Judicial Drug Task Force and got a search warrant. Officers also found two digital scales and $2,330 in the apartment.

Taylor is enrolled at the university and Guillen is no longer enrolled, according to the university’s media relations office.
