The Botanical Garden of the Ozarks in Fayetteville will host its annual plant sale Friday and Saturday. A members-only sale is planned for 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, and the public sale will take place from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Residents can pick from a variety of native plants, annuals, perennials, shrubs and garden art. Admission is free;

cash and check will be accepted, with credit cards taken at the Botanical Garden booth and the garden’s gift shop only.

Proceeds benefit programming at the garden.

American Idiot opens Friday at WAC

The Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville will host the Broadway musical American Idiot for four performances Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The production, which features the music of Green Day, was nominated for the 2010 Tony Award for best musical and won the 2010 Grammy Award for best musical show album. The musical tells the story of three boyhood friends searching for meaning after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Show times are 8 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets cost $53-$79.
