Where I live: I live out on what is called Onda Mountain [near West Fork]. My house is on part of the farm that I grew up on. We built the house in 2004. Other than during college, I’ve pretty much lived in the area all my life. My family is all right there, so my mom and my brother both live within a quarter mile of me. The reason I built where I built is for the view. The house is on the side of the mountain, and I have a view of the valley.

Occupation: Scholarship program director at the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas. It’s a great organization that helps single parents better their futures for themselves and their families. I’ve been here 11 years. I’m working on applications for the summer scholarships and getting ready for interviews. I conduct all of the interviews and do all of the professional development for our students.

My favorite space: My dining room.

Why? It has the best view in my house. It’s also where me and my kids sit down and have dinner, do homework or do craft projects. It’s just a great space for us to do stuff in together.

If I could do one thing to improve this space I would: Make it a little bit bigger.
