Man Arrested In Burglary

FAYETTEVILLE — A Bentonville man faces felony charges after police said he robbed a woman in her home and demanded marijuana.

Officers arrested Roman J. Young, 33, of 1006 S.E. Martin Lane in connection with theft of property and aggravated residential burglary.

Young and another man knocked on a woman’s door about 11:25 p.m. Thursday, according to a preliminary arrest report. When she answered, she recognized Young, according to the report, although it doesn’t say how she knew him. Young initially told her he ran out of gasoline, the report said. Police said another man appeared from behind Young with a gun. He held it to the woman’s head and forced her to the couch, according to the report.

Young asked the woman, “Where’s the weed and where’s the television?” according to the report.

The woman told police she only had a small amount of marijuana. Young took the television and the two men left, according to the report.

The woman identified Young in a photo lineup. He was arrested and was being held Friday without bond at the Washington County Detention Center.
