Inspired by his mother, Bobby Portis stuck with the sport he loved and became one of the most highly regarded players to come out of Arkansas. Portis, a 6-9 center and a University of Arkansas signee, averaged 20.4 points and 10.3 rebounds per game to help Little Rock Hall to its fourth consecutive state championship. Article, Page 6C

Miss Basketball

From her first game as a freshman four years ago, 5-8 guard Tyler Scaife made an impact for the Little Rock Hall Lady Warriors. Scaife led Hall to the postseason for the past four years. As a senior, Scaife and the Lady Warriors went unbeaten in the 7A/6A-Central en route to the program’s first state championship in 16 years. Article, Page 6C
