If so, look for receiver Ty Towers, a sophomore who played quarterback at Star City High School, be the third quarterback the Tigers start this year.Last year’s Great American Conference Offensive Player of the Year, Casey Cooper, was lost for the season with a knee injury after four plays.

The Wonder Boys have lost three consecutive games since a season opening victory over NAIA Bacone College and all three losses were to teams ranked or receiving votes in the NCAA Division II coaches poll. Northwestern Oklahoma State, in its first season in transition from NAIA to Division II, has lost all four of its games by 17 points or more, including losses of 42, 52 and 53 points.

But they’re playing a team today that derailed their season a year ago. Southwestern Oklahoma State won the meeting of the two teams 17-13 last year, which ended up being Henderson State’s only Great American Conference loss. The Reddies had a season-low 348 yards of offense in last week’s victory over Southeastern Oklahoma State, but two punt returns for touchdowns, a blocked punt returned for a touchdown and a fumble returned for a touchdown contributed to the Reddies running 45 plays to the Savage Storm’s 106.
