Buckley served at the college from April 2006 through March 2008. As part of her job responsibilities, Buckley supervised the divisions of human resources, payroll, business services, construction, risk management, physical plant and public safety. She also prepared and monitored the annual operating budget for the college, according to a college news release.

Buckley holds a juris doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law, a master of education in health education from Texas A&M University and a bachelor of science in occupational education with a business minor from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas.

Her most recent work experience includes serving as associate director for administrative services at Texas A&M from August 2010 through July of this year and as associate director for administrative support at the same institution from June 2008 to July 2010.

Paneitz said Buckley will begin her responsibilities Monday, and she will work under a nine-month employment memorandum totaling $97,500.

Buckley fills the position from which Marty Parsons was fired on Aug. 1. Parsons was counseled by Paneitz on issues including insubordination, failure to complete the budget in a timely manner, inappropriate language and low morale in his department, according to a document in his personnel file. An appeal by Parsons to the college board of trustees was denied.
