BENTONVILLE — Bentonville Black relied on big performances on both sides of the ball Thursday night.

The Tigers (4-1) got a solid effort from its defensive players, while quarterback Kasey Ford completed three touchdown passes in the first half..

Fourth Quarter

Ramay — Rock 4 run (run failed), 3:58.

Lincoln defeated Ramay in the eighth-grade game, 27-0.

Ford completed 5 of 8 passes for 102 yard, while Tyrone Mahone had 10 carries for 69 yards.

"All of our guys did a tremendous job," Black coach Chris Hutchens said. "Our defense really stood strong and made the big plays we needed. On offense, Kasey is really playing well and made three big passes for us."

Hutchens said he's recently challenged his defense to create stops against opponents. That was evident on Thursday as the Indians combined for only 127 yards of total offense.

Ford's three touchdown passes went to Austin Roath, Brandon Atchison and Mahone, respectively.

Ramay (2-3, 1-3) got its first touchdown in the second quarter when Tyson Morris caught a 46-yard touchdown pass from Terrance Rock. Rock, who ran for 48 yards, also had a 4-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
