Rogers police investigate dart attacks on women

Two women in Rogers have reported being hit with darts possibly fired from a man in a car, according to a news release from the Rogers Police Department.

On Sept. 21, Leigh-Ann Archuleta, 19, was standing outside at 1203 W. Olive St. when a passenger car drove in front of her residence. Witnesses heard a pop sound, and Archuleta was hit in the neck with a dart, the news release stated.

On Wednesday, Katia Banel Flores, 21, was hit in the back with a dart after crossing in front of a car in the Kohl's parking lot. She said the car's driver was a man.

Archuleta was taken to the emergency room, where the dart was removed. Flores was not taken to the hospital.

The darts are described as the type used in blow guns, according to the news release.
