Northwest Arkansas high school lifts lockdown after threat

— Authorities say a northwest Arkansas high school was placed on lockdown Thursday after police received a call about a possible threat from a student.

Lincoln Police Chief Russell Morphis said a 17-year-old student purportedly threatened to harm other students at Lincoln High School. The chief tells Fayetteville television station KHOG that the high school went on lockdown as police were called in to find the student.

Morphis says police removed the student from the school, but no arrests have been made. The chief says the lockdown has been lifted and police are still investigating.
