Hobbs Celebrating Lands Day

— National Public Lands Day will be celebrated Sunday at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area.

National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest single-day volunteer event for public land in the United States, according to a news release. The day is designed to educate Americans about critical environmental and natural resource issues and the need for shared stewardship of public land.

Sunday’s demonstrations include horseback trail riding, mountain biking, leave no trace, trail running, hiking, bird watching, kayaking and canoeing and fly-fishing.

Events will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at the park Visitor Center just east of the intersection of Arkansas 12 and War Eagle Road. There is no charge.
