— Nielsen Gives to food bank

The Nielsen Offi ce in Bentonville recently held a Share Your Lunch Money fundraiser to benefi t the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank.

In one day, the offi ce raised enough money to provide more than 800 meals to local people in need.

Christine Powers, emerging leader associate for Nielsen, presented a decorated piggy bank and the money raised from the fundraiser to the Food Bank on Sept. 21. The donation will help the food bank continue its mission of feeding the hungry in the community.

Foundation Gives To Hospital

The Miller McNeil Woodruff Foundation presented the Arkansas Children’s Hospital with $100,000, which will start the Miller McNeil Woodruff Endowment for neuromuscular disorders for the hospital.

This endowment fund will support clinical care, research and education for children and families with neuromuscular disorders. An endowment fund provides ongoing fi nancial support for the cause to which it is dedicated.

The Miller McNeil Woodruff Endowment will provide ongoing funding for neuromuscular disorders.

Neighbor Club

Makes Donation

The Friendly Neighbor Club of Sulphur Springspresented the Volunteer Fire Department with a donation of $500. There for the presentation were Rhonda Barnett, Vera Moorman, Centa Rogers, Martha Kreder, Fire Chief John Varner, Maurine Styles and Barbara Wasman.
