Arrests

Springdale

  • Sherena Smith, 25, of 1758 Shamblin Ave. in Fayetteville was arrested Sunday in connection with felony forgery, continuing criminal enterprise and misdemeanor violation of a no-contact order. Smith remained in the Washington County Detention Center on Monday in lieu of $10,000 bond.
  • Ruben Ramirez, 23, of 5325 N. Oak St. M-106 was arrested in connection with felony third-degree battery and revocation of a suspended sentence or probation. Witnesses said Ramirez hurt his pregnant girlfriend. Ramirez remained in the Benton County Jail on Monday with no bond.
  • Charles R. Johnson, 59, of 304 Wayland Drive was arrested Sunday in connection with a Harris County, Texas, felony warrant for arson. Johnson remained in the Washington County Detention Center on Monday awaiting extradition to Texas.

Rogers

  • A battery was reported Sunday from 967 N. 16th St. A woman said her boyfriend held her in a car and attempted to choke her.
  • Prescription forgery was reported Monday at Walmart, 4208 S. Pleasant Crossing.
  • Danette Stracar-Pinoski, 1804 S. Ninth St., reported a theft on Saturday. Three men fled, but had a car backed up to the residence and were taking things out.
  • Mandy Gorwin, 2339 W. Meadow Drive, reported theft of a blue girl’s bicycle on Saturday.
  • Darrel Cavanaga reported a burglary at the Eighth Street Motel, 915 S. Eighth St. on Saturday. A wallet containing $400 and prescription medications were stolen, Cavanaga told police.
  • Kathy Giles reported theft in the form of a gasoline driveoff from 201 W. Hudson Road on Saturday.
  • Andrew Young, 1203 W. Olive St., reported a 19-year-old girl shot in the neck by an air dart Friday evening. A white car pulled up, occupants shot the girl and drove off, turning south on 13th Street. No further details were available.
  • A man reported the burglary of a neighbor’s apartment at 601 W. Easy St. on Friday. A person who did not live in the apartment walked in, then locked themselves inside.
  • Dale Shastid of E-Z Mart, 100 E. New Hope Road, reported theft of $227 on Friday.
  • Lorrie Garza reported a breaking or entering of a vehicle at 901 E. Amis Road. A purse containing a wallet and prescription medication was stolen from the vehicle.

  • An employee of Heritage Inn, 1394 W. Sunset Ave. reported Sunday a breaking or entry at the business.
  • Jana Friar reported Sunday a breaking or entering at 2200 E. Mountain Ave. P-202.
  • An employee of Domino’s Pizza, 1206A S. Thompson St., reported Sunday receiving a counterfeit $50 bill.
  • Susan Frazier reported Monday a burglary at 202 Carter Ave. No. 2.
