BENTONVILLE BLACK DEF. FAYETTEVILLE RAMAY 2-1

Bentonville Black used five aces and four kills from Taylor Garrison to defeat Fayetteville Ramay 25-14, 25-17 Monday night in Fayetteville.

Kayton Coffee gave the Lady Tigers a big lift on the front line with a match-high six kills. She also had an ace and two digs. Bentonville (6-5) will play Springdale George at 6 p.m. today.

Ramay (0-11) was led by Corina Kaipat (four digs, two assist) and Maggie Mabry (five digs, one assist). The Lady Indians will play Springdale Southwest at 6 p.m. today.

In the eighth-grade match, Lingle defeated Ramay 25-6, 25-17.

FAYETTEVILLE WOODLAND DEF. SPRINGDALE CENTRAL 2-0

Fayetteville Woodland held off Springdale Central in two tightly played sets Monday night, as the Cowgirls earned the sweep 25-23, 25-22.

Abbie Kathol led Woodland with four kills and an ace, and teammate Haley Warner chipped in three aces and two kills in the winning effort for Woodland (9-2). The Cowgirls will play Rogers Heritage at 6 p.m. today.

Central (5-6) hung close behind the play of Sara Davis (three kills) and Emily Thompson (two kills, three blocks), but couldn’t manage to swing the momentum down the stretch in either set. Central will host Bentonville Gold at 5:30 p.m. today.

In the eighth-grade match, Central topped Woodland 25-19, 25-14.

BENTONVILLE GOLD DEF. SILOAM SPRINGS 2-1

Bentonville Gold got the better of Siloam Springs on Monday night, taking the match in three sets 25-16, 23-25, 25-10.

Lauren Saulsbery led the Lady Tigers (9-2) with 21 assists, and Lexi Hernandez had six kills and three aces. Megan McCoy had 10 digs and 12 service points.

Sidney Avery did her best to help Siloam Springs (5-6) keep pace with seven kills. Arika Johnson turned in five kills and Haley Stewart had two blocks.

Siloam Springs will travel to Rogers High at 6 p.m. today. Gold will look to carry the momentum into its match with Springdale Central at 5:30 p.m. today.

In the eighth-grade match, Siloam Springs defeated Washington in three sets 25-21, 19-25, 15-12.

SPRINGDALE SOUTHWEST DEF. ROGERS HIGH 2-1

Clara Puente and Reilly Wisom had eight points each as Springdale Southwest downed Rogers High 25-19, 20-25, 25-20.

Bonnie Kragel added seven points for the Lady Cougars in the match.

Southwest also took the eight-grade match over Elmwood 25-21, 18-25, 15-10.

The Lady Cougars (4-5) host Bentonville Gold at 6 p.m. today.

Rogers High (1-9) hosts Siloam Springs at 6:30 p.m. today.

ROGERS HERITAGE DEF. SPRINGDALE GEORGE 2-1

Elleson Dunagin racked up 10 kills to lead Rogers Heritage past Springdale George 18-25, 25-17, 25-15.

Courtney Van Wilpe added nine kills for the Lady War Eagles (7-4).

Ryann Goodsell led George with 8 kills, and Maddie Mueller chipped in 16 assists.

Heritage travels to Fayetteville Woodland, and George (8-3) hosts Bentonville Black at 6 p.m. today.

Bentonville, Heritage Split

The Rogers Heritage Lady War Eagles improved to 9-1 on the season with a 5-4 victory over Bentonville in girls high school tennis Monday at the Heritage High courts.

Bentonville (7-2) was tagged with its second loss of the season, both coming to Heritage. Bentonville won the boys match 9-0.

The War Eagles (5-5) and Lady War Eagles travel across town on Thursday to face cross-town rival Rogers High. The matches begin at 3:30 p.m. The girls team will try to avenge its lone loss of the season.
