FAYETTEVILLE — Police arrested a Fayetteville man in connection with the sexual assault of a five-year-old girl.
Robert Young, 23, of 5 Montgomery Ave., faces a felony second-degree sexual assault charge, after police arrested him during a disturbance at a soup kitchen, according to an arrest report.
The girl reportedly told investigators at the Children’s Safety Center in Springdale Young assaulted her at least two times.
Young’s criminal history includes convictions on aggravated assault, criminal mischief, terroristic threatening, second-degree battery, false imprisonment, manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), fleeing and tampering with evidence, Sgt. Craig Stout said.
He remained at the Washington County Detention Center on Monday on a $25,000 bond.
