CAVE SPRINGS — City officials announced Monday a $1,255,000 grant awarded to build a sewer system for downtown area along Main Street.
The community development block grant will be funded at 100 percent through the Arkansas Community and Economic Development Program and the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission.
The award is the culmination of 20 months of work by city officials, the city’s Sewer and Water Committee and state representatives, according to a news release.
Mayor Larry Smith said the project should be completed within a year.
