Agencies Take Back Drugs Saturday

— Area law enforcement agencies will have special hours for collecting unused medication Saturday as part of the national “Monitor, Secure and Dispose” effort, a part of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration's National Prescription Take-Back Initiative.

Several agencies have permanent drop-off locations, but other sites will be available Saturday.

Expired or unused prescription medication may be left at the sites. The drugs will then be destroyed, authorities said.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sites include:

  • Mercy Clinic, 3101 S.E. 14th St., Bentonville, Benton County Sheriff’s Office
  • Rogers Police Department, 1905 S. Dixieland Road
  • Gravette Police Department, 606 First Avenue
  • Siloam Springs Police Department, 410 N. Broadway
  • World Gym parking lot, 2035 N. College Ave., Fayetteville Police Department
