Sales Tax Revenue Is Up in Two Cities and Down In Two Cities

NORTHWEST ARKANSAS Fayetteville and Rogers continued to show positive growth in sales tax revenue this month, but Springdale and Bentonville slipped into negative numbers.
For the year, all four cities are ahead in sales tax collection compared to last year and ahead of budget projections, according to the finance director for each city.
Rogers is up 7.5 percent, or $76,327, this month compared to last year and Fayetteville is up 5.6 percent, or $77,887.
Bentonville slipped by -0.27 percent or $2,142 compared to last year. Springdale took the biggest hit, dropping -6.8 percent or $61,05.
