Power Back on in Fayetteville

Posted: September 24, 2012 at 9:39 a.m.

— Power is back on at the University of Arkansas after a "major" underground power line was cut.

Lt. Gary Crain of UAPD said the cut occurred near the intersection of McIlroy and Dickson streets at a construction site.

Power was off at about 30 buildings in the southwest and central portions of campus, including Kimpel Hall where elevators did not work.

Some classes were disrupted, Crain said.

Power was back on about 10:15 a.m.
