Dennis Johnson ran hard to move the chains on a series that saw Chris Gragg leave with a leg injury. Hamilton turned a short slant into a breakaway, 57-yard touchdown pass against a heavy blitz.

2nd Quarter

RUTGERS 14, ARKANSAS 10

The Scarlet Knights converted a fake punt, then benefited from pass interference and an offside call (on a made field goal) to score on Gary Nova’s 10-yard pass to back Jawan Jamison. Arkansas went three-andout on its next three series, gaining 18 yards. A dropped third-down pass scuttled one Rutgers series. Jamison was snuffed for no gain, but Nova completed five consecutive passes for 65 yards as Rutgers took control through the air. Nova hit wide-open Brandon Coleman on the right sideline for the go-ahead score with 90 seconds left in the half. Rutgers was all over Arkansas’ crossing routes.

Rutgers converted third downs when needing 10, 5, and 5 yards on its first series, then Brandon Coleman took a quick screen 38 yards to the end zone. Arkansas went threeand-out again. Trey Flowers forced an intentional grounding to snuff a Rutgers series. Two Cobi Hamilton catches netted 46 yards, but the Hogs had to settle for a field goal after Mekale McKay’s dropped pass in the end zone. Rutgers converted third-and-8 with a 9-yard pass, went 45 yards on the next snap and scored three plays later. Arkansas drove 66 yards to the Rutgers 9, where Tyler Wilson was pressured into a throw to the end zone that Logan Ryan intercepted.

4th Quarter

RUTGERS 35, ARKANSAS 26

Arkansas drove quickly for a 10-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Wilson to Cobi Hamilton, then Rutgers left the door open when Kyle Federico missed a 32-yard field goal. Two plays later, Hamilton ran a crossing route and caught an 80-yard touchdown pass, boosting his total to an SEC-record 303 yards. Wilson was pressured on the two-point conversion attempt and threw incomplete. Gary Nova’s 60-yard touchdown pasds to Mark Harrison silenced the crowd. Scattered boos accompanied an Arkansas punt from the 48 on fourth-and-10. Wilson’s pass skipped off Demetrius Wilson for a gameclinching interception.
