Samaritan Center To Host Voter Registration Drive

Special to NWA Media

Tuesday is National Voter Registration Day and Samaritan Community Center is hosting voter registration drives in Rogers and Springdale.

Nonpartisan information and voter registration assistance will be available in both English and Spanish, according to a news release.

“Because we serve our community’s most vulnerable, we know that all too often their voices are not heard when it comes to elections,” said Mary Mann, director of community relations for the center. “That’s why we’ve joined the national movement to help make sure all voices are heard this November. We want to make it easy for people to exercise that right and responsibility by helping them register to vote.”

Registration tables will be set up at both Samaritan centers, at 1211 W. Hudson Road in Rogers and 1300 N. Thompson Ave. Suite G in Harp’s Plaza in Springdale. People may register between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. The center staff will mail in completed forms following the drive, or individuals may pick up a form to take home, fill out and mail personally.

Samaritan Community Center is a nonprofit, nonpartisan community service organization. Mann said members of local political parties will serve as volunteers to staff registration tables, but campaigning isn’t allowed within 100 feet of either centers.
