Man Dies In Accident

A Pea Ridge man was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon on Arkansas 94 just south of White Oak Ridge Road, according to Arkansas State Police.

Robert Dale Randolph, 56, died at the scene. He was driving a motorcycle, pulled out of a driveway and turned into the path of a 1998 Dodge pickup driven by Cody Freeman, 25, of Bella Vista. His wife, Breanna Freeman, 26, and 9-month-old daughter, Raelyn Freeman, were in the pickup. They were taken to Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville by Bella Vista Ambulance. Breanna was treated, then released.

According to the report, Freeman passed Randolph to avoid a collision, then Randolph passed Freeman again, causing Freeman to lose control of his pickup, overturning on the west side of the road and coming to rest on its wheels. Randolph ran off the roadway to the east, was ejected from his motorcycle.

Traffic was blocked for more than an hour. The incident is still under investigation.
