Springdale's Chamber of Welfare had great visions, amusing visions of upscale stores building up around the socialism ball park.

And what does Springdale get for playing ball with the Chamber of Commerce? Truck stops.

I tried hard to find fault in the writers logic about Love's, but couldn't. The only thing I would challenge the writer on is whether or not Rogers would welcome a Love's. Bottom line, that interchange is a terrible location for a Love's. It will set the tone for future development, and is not what Springdale needs. It took decades of il-advised or directionless development to get Springdale in it's current situation (among other things an exploding low-income population and stagnant tax revenues). One Love's store will not change that direction. It will only enforce it. Look around folks, the other 3 major cities in NWA are headed in a polar opposite direction!
