The University of Arkansas has record enrollment this year, according to a news release. The numbers are based on how many students were enrolled on the 11th day of classes, which this year was Sept. 4.
The university had 24,537 students on that date, up 5.8 percent from the 2011 enrollment, which was a record at the time.
"These totals reflect the university's growing reputation — in Arkansas and across the nation — for academic excellence and student-centeredness," said Chancellor G. David Gearhart in the release.
