China protests close Japanese shops

Marches in dozens of cities shut factories, businesses

Residents in northwest China’s Shaanxi province look at an overturned Toyota during an anti-Japan protest Saturday. Many Japanese-owned businesses in China closed Tuesday as demonstrations continued in dozens of cities.

Scores of Japanese-owned factories and stores in China were shuttered Tuesday as anti-Japan demonstrations sprang up in dozens of cities.
