PROPOSED GENERAL STORE CREATES CONTROVERSY

Buildings at the corner of Second and Locust streets will be razed to make way for a Casey’s General Store if the Rogers Planning Commission approves a conditional use permit.
Not everyone is happy about a proposed Casey’s General Store and service station proposed for near the intersection of Second and Locust streets.

When: 4:30 p.m. Tuesday
Where: Rogers City Hall, 301 W. Chestnut St.
The meeting will take place in Council Chambers; enter through the door on the northeast side of the building.
On the agenda:
w A request from CH Office Development Properties to rezone 0.934 acres at Metro Parkway and South 52nd Street from residential office to neighborhood commercial.
w The Pinnacle Heights final plat at J.B. Hunt Drive and Pinnacle Hills Parkway. The property is zone highway commercial.
w A large-scale development plan for Promenade Point, Phase 3 at West Green Acres Road and Promenade Boulevard. Three buildings, one at 7,125 square feet, one at 7,991 square feet and one at 10,450 square feet are shown in the plan. The property is zoned highway commercial.
w A large-scale development plan for the renovation of Murphy USA at 2212 W. Walnut St. The property is zoned highway commercial.
w A large-scale development plant for HBH Holdings, 1703 N. 13th St. The property is zoned light industrial.
